Counseling for Adults

There are many benefits to counseling including improved self-confidence, relationships, work and academic performance, and decision making, and most of us may benefit from counseling at one time or another. At East Dallas Psychotherapy we help people facing depression, anxiety, and recent life changes. We want to carefully and compassionately meet our clients where they are, as they are. As you explore those areas of pain, we help you try out a new way of thinking, feeling, and relating. Some common client concerns:

    • Stress from a high pressure job
    • Letting go of others’ expectations for you
    • Defining future life goals in career and family
    • Adjusting to a new baby
    • Conflict in relationships
    • Developing healthy boundaries
    • Doubt in spiritual life or a dark night of the soul
    • Lack of purpose in life or career
    • Making space for you and your self-care
    • Frustration as a parent
    • Hopelessness in the season of young motherhood

We accept FSA and HSA, credit cards, cash, or check.

Family Counseling

I help children and teens who are moody, depressed, anxious, stressed, lonely, grieving, or bullied. I can see kids age 4-18. I walk alongside parents as their child or teen finds better ways of coping. I help parents facilitate that change at home too. My first goal with kids is to build trust so that we can understand them better and improve their lives. I use art, games, visual aids, hands on activities, and play. We also offer camps in the summer for assertiveness and social skills. Learn more here.

Initially we suggest weekly counseling for kids. And depending on the age of the child, parent consults are setup at regular intervals. Family counseling fees are:

  • Intake fee is $160
  • Session fee is $120
  • Parent consult fee is $120

A note about insurance, payment and reduced rates.

We accept cash, check or credit card. We would be considered an out-of-network provider with your insurance company. Some of our clients are able to be reimbursed by their insurance company’s. This is dependent on your coverage and benefits. We can provide a statement called a “superbill” which is what is needed for reimbursement. In that case, you will need to ask your insurance company for an explanation of your benefits regarding out-of-network counseling. We accept HSA cards or Health Savings Accounts.

We offer a limited number of reduced rate spots. If you’re interested in this email us at
